About me
Jan Wiberg
Born 1974 in Kauniainen, Finland. Has lived in Helsinki, Finland, since 1996. Speaks Swedish, Finnish, and English. Has drawn comics as a hobby since 1985. Keeps a daytime job and draws in his spare time.
Loves:
- Comics – especially French, Belgian, and Dutch. Strives for a traditional BD (bande dessinée) look in his comics. Has collected many comics in French, but only understands some written French.
- Music – a true fanatic about music. Punk rock, synth-pop, new wave, soul, funk, disco and dance music, 1980’s electronica, jazz fusion, reggae… Very little made after 1989, though… but from the 1950’s to 1980’s, a lot of genres will do
- Movies – anything from old, classic Hollywood stuff to sci-fi, horror, monster movies, and just plain weird cult films
- Warner Bros.’ Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies cartoons
- Monty Python’s Flying Circus and some more classic TV series like Thunderbirds, The Man From U.N.C.L.E., Batman, The Monkees, The Love Boat (a real guilty pleasure), Auf Wiedersehen Pet, The Muppet Show, Star Trek – The Original Series, Sapphire & Steel, Police Squad!, and The Prisoner
- Literature: Charles Dickens, Kurt Vonnegut, Arthur Conan Doyle, Agatha Christie, sci-fi novels, and all sorts of old classic novels
- Sushi
- Tea
- Also an avid Commodore 64 gamer back in 1988-1995. Still keeps his old C-64, all the games, the TAC-2 joystick and a pile of old (1984-1993) computer magazines.
